GOLDEN RULE POLICIES & FAQs

At Golden Rule Pet Care, clear boundaries ensure we can provide the safest, most reliable care for your pets while keeping our schedule fair for all our neighborhood clients. Please review our core operational policies below.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Oh my goodness, do we understand that plans change! To protect our walkers' schedules, we require a 24-hour notice for all cancellations or rescheduling requests.
• Cancellations made with 24 hours or more notice will receive a full credit back to your account or block package.
• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged at the full rate of the scheduled visit ($20).

Block Package Expiration Policy
To help us manage route density and scheduling availability in our high-density buildings, all discounted block packages have strict expiration dates from the day of purchase:
• 5-Visit Block: Expires in 30 days.
• 10-Visit Block: Expires in 60 days.
• 20-Visit Block: Expires in 90 days.
Unused visits after the expiration date cannot be rolled over, refunded, or transferred.

Inclement Weather Policy
The Georgia heat and sudden East Atlanta thunderstorms can pop up quickly. For the safety of your pets, during extreme downpours, lightning, or dangerous summer heat advisories, we will pivot your dog's outdoor walk to an indoor relief break and a high-energy indoor play session for the remainder of the 20 minutes.

Building Access & Key Security
Clients are responsible for ensuring Golden Rule has seamless access to their apartment or condo complex. This includes providing correct gate codes, digital key fob permissions, or coordinating with your building's concierge. All physical keys left in lockboxes or smart lock codes are kept entirely confidential and secure.
